DIY Painted Glass Vase

I love pottery with nice, clean shapes. I've been casually looking for a white vase for our living room. After searching a bit, I got some inspiration. I knew I wanted something fairly big and curvy. Bryn mentioned an idea I've seen done before, but had totally forgotten about: painting the inside!

So.. off to the thrift store I went. I found just the vase:

After some white paint.. she was rocking those curves like never before [if only white did that for me, I'd be all set! ;) ].

I used a satin finish latex paint, and a foam brush. I decided to leave a little of the brushstrokes behind, for character. Love it!

As always, the BEFORE:

And AFTER:

So cute! I saw this idea in a magazine a while back but wasn't sure how to paint the inside without making a huge mess. Thanks for the inspiration!

I love this. I've used spray paint (but please wear a mask!) or pour paint into the vase - swish around and pour back out. It's amazing what beautiful shapes surround us and we never see them.
