Apartment Tour: Master Bedroom

Stop #3 on our tour of the apartment is my comfy place. Our master bedroom has lightened up a lot since we first moved in.

{Apartment Tour Disclaimer: None of our rooms are finished yet (I don't believe any room ever is) but they've come a long way from when we first moved in here. Also, these photos aren't the best quality. I'm crossing my fingers for a DSLR for Christmas.. until then, this is as good as it's gonna get! :) Enjoy!}

Here is the before (again, it was Christmastime):

And, with some new bedding, DIY decor, and new sheer curtain panels:

The sewing corner (please ignore my baskets of fabric- those weren't supposed to be there):

It's funny looking back on things- I'm glad we had an apartment to do a trial run of everything. There are some things I'd definitely do differently the next time around. When I started making these spaces our own, my decorating/design IQ was a good bit lower. For example, I'd hang the art over the bed a bit lower, mount the shelf directly over the sewing desk instead of centering it on the wall, etc.

I have super fun project in mind for our master bedroom once we're all moved into a new place. I plan on putting my hubby's new welder to work for me, and I can't wait! Stay tuned fellow DIY-ers! It's going to be a crazy ride!

Projects featured in this room:

DIY Glass Lamp
Bench w/ Nailhead Trim
Bed-Making 101
White Distressed Desk
Antique Mirror & Basket Tray
DIY Framed Mirrors
