A Vintage Weekend

Thanks to a little tip from my aunt, I found out about a flea market going on in town this weekend. Zane was a little leery, but he decided he'd better go with me.. if only to keep me from buying the whole place.

I'll admit, it wasn't the most fabulous flea ever. But, I still managed to find a few things!

I picked up a set of 5 vintage ball jars with lids. Some of them are missing the metal latches, but that's just fine with me.

I just LOVE the color. Please excuse the dirty window.. spring cleaning is on its' way!

My other purchase is going to require a bit of TLC, but I'm so excited to get started.

These antique lyre back chairs had me at hello. They have slight differences, and plenty of imperfections, but I love their character. Check out the back:

I picked up the pair for $15, much lower than similar chairs go for. Right now I'm trying to decide whether I want to refinish & stain, paint, or even gold/silver leaf... What do you guys think?

Here's my inspiration photo, design by Amy Morris.

Ohh pretty! I want some of those blue jars, but every time I find them, they're costly.

I LOVE the chairs. Love them! I say paint them - and antique it. Can't wait to see what you do with them! Gorgeous!

I would paint them and recover the seats. Can't wait to see what you decide!
