Grad Party Plans

My little sisters graduate from high school in just a few short weeks. While I'll be a total waterworks show, I truly am excited for them. So, I figured what better way to graduate than to go out with a bang? I'm working on putting together a fab grad party for them. My mom will be handling a lot of the food stuff, and I'll be taking care of all the decor, details, & general prettiness. :) Here's the design board I put together for them to review.. because of course, it has to pass inspection with the clients first!

As you can see, our color palate will be purple & green with LOTS of natural texture. It all started with those napkins in the top right corner- they're from Ikea. Don't you love them? I think most of the board speaks for itself as to what I'm doing. However, you're probably a little lost on the purple lettuce & artichoke in the middle.. I won't give it away, but they're the ingredients in a super unique series of centerpieces. It's probably a little ridiculous how excited I am about someone else's party, but oh well. It's going to be fab.

Very cute! I love the color combination and those paper lanterns are absolutely adorable. They're so lucky to have an uber-talented sister!

LOVE this! And I love that I'm not the only one who gets excited about planning parties for other people. The pretty decor is the best part!

LOVE the napkins! And I have to tell you - my FAVORITE vegetable in the whold wide world is an artichoke. I eat them steamed and dip the leaves in melted butter. YUMMM!! :)

It's going to be a fabulous party!

You are too cute! Can't wait to see the photos of the party.

And yes, my thoughts were "oh I like the color palette" then "what's the deal with the artichoke?" :o) Look forward to seeing those centerpieces!

This color palette is gorgeous! I love how it's not in-your-face graduation party with streamers and gold and silver everywhere! Very chic!
