Hi all, I'm back from a whirlwind wedding weekend in Ohio. The wedding was fabulous, despite the stifling 95+ temps & 80% humidity. It was a long drive (22+ hrs each way) but driving has it's advantages.. We stopped in at a J Crew outlet on the way home & I picked up this ensemble:
It's a little more yellow than I'd normally wear, but the pearls soften it a bit & I'm kinda loving it. So much so that I whipped up a little room around it.
The color palate is definitely not something I'd have thought up on my own, but that's the beauty of inspiration- it causes you to think beyond the bounds of the "norm". I'm thinking you could do a pretty young girls room around these colors as well. What do you guys think?
Inspiration can come from so many different places, and fashion is definitely one of the most common. I'm thinking about adding this as a recurring feature- pulling inspiration from a non-interiors source & building a room around it. Maybe you all would like to try it too? We could make it into a little link party if you're all interested. Or maybe you'd rather just see an example without doing the whole party thing? Weigh in, por favor!
