I know I'm a little late catching onto this phenomenon.. but, have you seen some of Wal-Mart's stuff?? I saw this ottoman in a few places in blogland..

Can you believe it's only fifty bucks?!?

Check out this affordable lucite chair:

A sexy tufted chaise lounge:

And a little more tufted fabulousness:

And last but not least, a whole array of stylish accent tables:

I guess my days of being a Wal-Mart groceries-only shopper are over... What about you guys? Has anyone else "crossed over"? I'd also love to hear about the quality if anyone has experience with that too!

I'm impressed! Those are some cute finds! I haven't been to Wal-Mart in soooo long, it's too far away! :(

I bought a tv stand thing (whatever they call thse new little thing and it looks great. I purchsed 3 lamps online and the shades were junk and dented but at $30 ea it was easy to buy finer shades at a lamp store.

Quality is what concerns me too. I saw a comforter set on Wal-Mart's site that I thought would be perfect for my daughter's room, but when I went to the store to see it with my own eyes, it was pretty low on the quality meter. Photography can do a lot to make the blah look fabulous.
However, that bench could be painted and recovered if it was sturdy and for the $50 and a little extra time and money, you would still be getting a good deal.

My favorite is the lucite chair! I've never bought that sort of stuff from there so I have no experience with its quality.

Wal-Mart has definitely done a great job updating their look in the past several years. I just bought a coffee table from Wal-Mart last month and love it.

They certainly don't have nice stuff like that over here in Canada!

I may have to cross over and do some shopping!

I should probably give everyone a heads up.. a lot of this stuff isn't in stores- it's available online only. So, I probably wouldn't take a trip to the US to get it.. I'd just hop online. :)

I hate to admit it but I have been very impressed with Walmart's home decor/furniture selection lately too. I've gotten a few things for my son's room and have a wish list for the rest of the house.

Man, are you guys lucky! Target and Walmart down there seem to have some great purchasers working for them! Our Walmart's up here (Canada) are improving but they don't have anything like what you pictured. And we don't even have Target!
