..And Our Lives Will Never Be The Same

Hi everyone, I'm deviating from the usual design content to both ask for prayers and update friends and family. My husband, Zane, is a lineman for a power company and was involved in a very high voltage accident at 12:30pm today. He was hit with 69,000 volts of electricity and sustained serious 3rd degree burns. He was taken to an excellent burn and trauma hospital in Boston. Myself and family and friends have all flown/traveled here to be with him.

Currently 50% of his body is covered in 3rd degree burns, but the doctors have given him a 70% chance of survival. He will undergo his first skin grafting surgery tomorrow. The first 24-48 hours are the most critical, but it will be a very very long road to recovery. He is deeply sedated due to the pain and will most likely be in that state for the next month. So, basically we won't be able to communicate with him at all for the next month. He'll be in the hospital down here for at least the next 2 months, and will require extensive therapy and most likely multiple surgeries. There are also huge risks for infection with all the grafting.

So.. it'll be an extremely long road to recovery, but we'll make it through. We serve a mighty God who has given me an amazing peace. We trust that He will give us all grace to get through this time. Zane is in God's hands, and there is no better place for him.

Your prayers would be VERY much appreciated.

Hey Courtney!

We heard about your husband and our prayers are with you. Pastor Mark Harris contacted me to see if my dad, who pastors in Boston, could anoint your husband. By the time you get this, you may have already met my dad.

When Mark told me the situation, I did not realize who it was, but now I feel the urge to pray for this situation all the more!

God bless you in this journey.

I pray in Jesus name for continual healing and recovery for Zane's body but, also his spirits. What a fighter he is and you both are being so strong together. God bless you two! Inspiring so many!
