Victory!

Just a quick update this time, because I'm too excited to write much. I just received a call from Zane's lead doctor telling me the surgery was over and it had gone as well as it could have! They were able to excise and graft his entire right arm and his left flank, and excise the rest of the skin on his abdomen. He had minimal blood loss and didn't need any transfusions in the OR. They'll probably give him some once back in the ICU, just to keep his levels where they should be. The grafts done last week on his neck and upper chest haven taken beautifully as well. They expect to be able to do the grafting on his left arm and the rest of his abdomen on Wednesday, and do the tracheostomy on Friday since the neck graft has healed so well. Praise God!

We are elated and thanking God just as fiercely as we plead with him for Zane's life. Prayer is real; miracles are real.. and my amazing husband is living proof.

Such wonderful answer to prayer and PRAISING our God for His hand in all of this!!!!! We have such an AWESOME GOD!!!!!! Glad you were able to see your husband with his eyes opening up. God is providing you with a peace that only He can provide and a reassurance that you need to see. Thank you so much for the update....get as much rest as you can so you don't wear down and stay healthy. Praying that Zane's fever does not return and that the pneumonia is caught early and his lungs are clear as a bell. Take care! Lorraine (Maine)

Courtney,Zane,&family,

Praise God!! There is power in prayer!!I truly cannot wait to see you and Zane back home smiling and laughing. You are the most beautiful couple, in all aspects of the word, that i have ever met. You are such in inspiration to everyone around you. I've thanked God for the both of you everyday and can only continue to pray for the Lords healing hand to continue reaching out to Zane and for the both of you to be back home, healthy and happy. You both are truly such an inspiration and a blessing and we all love you so much!

Love,

Courtney, you do not know me but I have been made aware of Zane's accident and have been daily calling out his name in prayer for God to work mightily through the doctors and in his body. My family and I are missionaries to Peru, South America, and I can only tell you that God has a plan and will see it through for His glory. God bless you both as you go through this difficult time. My prayers are with you!
