Moving Out!

I don't have time for a long update, but i just had to share a couple things. Yesterday evening Zane got his feeding tube out! We totally weren't expecting it to come out the day of his surgery, but he's been eating well and he was more than ready to get that darn thing out of there! I also got a surprise when I came in this morning- WE'RE LEAVING ICU TODAY!!!!! After just over 6 weeks or 43 days, we're getting out of here & onto a step down unit. Excited doesn't even begin to describe what we're feeling. I know I've said it a million times, but our God is SO faithful!!! We are so proud of Zane's progress, and all the glory for it goes to HIM!

It's wonderful that they took out Zane's feeding tube!! Now he can feel more normal. And it's wonderful that he is getting out of ICU. That is a step that we skipped, as Joe went straight from ICU to ReHab. AS soon as Zane is healed from that last surgery, I'm sure he will be in ReHab soon. What a wonderful Thanksgiving you will have!

AWESOME!! Praise the Lord! We all have lots of praises and thanks to the Lord this Thanksgiving. And he got his feeding tube out in time to eat a big meal tomorrow...(Course I know it will be in smaller portions, but there will be lots of food available for him!) Continuing prayers as always and we're anxious to see what the Lord does next! Have a super duper awesome Thanksgiving!!

I just happened to stumble upon your site while looking for DIY ottoman ideas and saw the posts about your husband's accident. I had to leave a comment because your story brought tears to my eyes. God has laid his hands on your family and it is truly miraculous what progress Zane has made. Keep your faith in God and he will see you through these troubled times. Bless you and your family through the holiday season and I wish Zane a speedy recovery.

Courtney & Zane, This is such great news. I've been away from a computer for a week and just got a chance to look up your updates. Praise God for what has been happening. I saw Sherri's note about snow on the ridge. I'm in NC so am missing it for a bit. I thought of all of you on Thanksgiving knowing how much you had to be thankful for.

Keep looking up,

Priscilla Phillips

I am an apprentice lineman in southern Maine and on October 28th was involved in a 13kv flash cross-phase incident in Wakefield Mass. I sustained second degree burns over my neck, face and upper chest, with a couple of deep 3rd degree spots. I was in the burn unit of Mass General for 4 days and have continued my healing at home. With luck, I'll be back to work on December 6th. I wanted to write and let you know that, while my injuries weren't as severe as yours,
I know what you went through and what you are going through now. The healing process is long and itchy but each day gets a little better. Good luck.
Best,
John
